I’m Karanjot Vendal, an ML Engineer based in London.
Right now I’m spending most of my learning time trying to understand large language models from the math to the metal: transformers, inference systems, memory-aware kernels, and the engineering that makes them run fast. The goal is to become a research engineer — someone who can read a paper, implement it from scratch, profile it, and make it practical.
I care more about depth than breadth. I have a bad habit of wanting to learn everything at once, so this site is partly a discipline device: a public record of what I’m actually doing, not what I wish I were doing.
Before this phase, I spent three years at Hawk-Eye Innovations working on sports simulation and real-time ML, built a few published projects, and got an MSc in AI from Queen Mary University of London. Now I’m at MVF, where I work on AI agents and try to connect that to my deeper interests.
