Work #

Building AI agents at MVF. Currently using the Anthropic SDK, but exploring provider-agnostic alternatives like Tau to reduce lock-in and cost.

Study #

A 6-month personal sprint to rebuild depth in transformers and inference:

• Core trunk: transformer internals, LLM inference, efficient kernels.
• This week: Word2Vec from scratch, Tau architecture reading.
• Satellites: agents, SOTA papers, TypeScript literacy.

I blocked study time on my calendar for the next 8 weeks and publish a weekly note on this site.

Open questions #

• Which layer of the stack do I enjoy most: math, algorithms, systems, or hardware?
• Should I stay at MVF long-term or use this sprint to position for a research engineering role?
• What will my first serious public experiment be?
